This section applies to the Personal Information we collect and process from a Member or potential Member through the provision of the Services. In this section, “you” and “your” refer to Members and potential Members.

(i) Information you provide to us: In the course of engaging with our Services, you may provide Personal Information about you and, if applicable, a family member such a child. To complete and record transactions, inform and serve you in connection with Team Passos activities and initiatives and better understand your needs and interests, Team Passos collects and uses appropriate personal information, having first obtained any required consents. For example, when you order products or services, request information, subscribe to marketing or support materials, or apply for a job at Team Passos, we will ask you to provide personal information to complete these transactions and properly record and manage that relationship with you. Personal information is provided to us when you fill out the contact page and free trial sections on our website, when you send us an email or communicate with us in any other way. By providing information about a minor child you are affirming you have the right to disclose this information as the minor child’s parent or legal guardian.

By giving us this information, you agree to this information being collected, used and disclosed as described in this privacy policy.

The types of personal information you provide to us may include:

• Registration information: When you register as a Member or try a Jiu Jitsu class or event, you will be asked to provide basic information such as your name, address, telephone number and email address.
• Billing and communications information: If you purchase our Services, you may also need to provide us with payment and billing information, such as your credit card number and billing address. Team Passos will maintain a record of your billing transactions and purchases, and any communications and responses.
• Website comments: When visitors leave comments on the site’s blog articles we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

(ii) Information we collect automatically: When you visit our Website(s), we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage of the Services. We use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect some of this information.

We do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. You provide certain Personally Identifiable Information to us when you:

(a) register for our services and register your e-mail address with us;

(b) enter sweepstakes or contests sponsored by us or one of our partners;

(c) sign up for special offers from selected third parties;

(d) send e-mail messages, submit forms or transmit other information by telephone or letter; or

(e) submit your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services on our site.

In addition, we may also collect, or our third-party ad server and/or content server may collect, certain Non-Personally Identifiable Information. This information is ultimately stored in the form of store categories, and, in some cases, specific URLs. In order to better provide you with our numerous services, we collect two types of information about our users: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Our primary goal in collecting information from you is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience while using our site.

Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. When you engage in certain activities on this site, such as registering for a membership, ordering a product or service, submitting content and/or posting content in discussion forums or other public areas, entering a contest or sweepstakes, filling out a survey, or sending us feedback, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. The information Team Passos collects to understand your needs and interests helps us deliver a consistent and personalized experience.

For example, Team Passos may use your information to:

• assist you in completing the scheduling of a Jiu Jitsu class, membership transaction or merchandise order
• notify you of changes or improvement to our services
• process a grant or job application
• send you communications which you have consented to, including newsletters and information about campaigns, new services or initiatives and promotions of our goods and services
• provide service and support
• administer your account
• to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into with you

We may, from time to time, send you e-mail regarding our products and services. Team Passos will send you these direct mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply tell us when you give us your personal information. Or, at any time you can easily edit your account information to no longer receive such offers and mailings.

• To access, correct, update or request deletion of Personal Information. Team Passos will give you the opportunity to choose your privacy preferences regarding the communications we send. • Opt-Out Members and Visitors who have opted in to our marketing emails can opt out of receiving marketing emails from us at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our marketing messages or emailing us directly at info@teampassos.com. Please be aware that when you opt out of receiving certain subscription communications, it may affect the services you have chosen to receive from us.

We encourage you to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes. You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, because we keep track of past transactions, you cannot delete information associated with past transactions on this site. In addition, it may be impossible to completely delete your information without some residual information because of backups.

We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection law. We may ask you to verify your identity in order to help us respond efficiently to your request. If we receive a request from one of your Contacts, we will either direct the Contact to reach out to you, or, if appropriate, we may respond directly to their request.

With whom do we share your information?

We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifiable Information to others. We do provide some of our services through contractual arrangements with affiliates, services providers, partners and other third parties. In order to most efficiently serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third party banking, processing agents and distribution institutions. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. Automatic Data Collection Tools.

In addition to the information you provide, Team Passos may also collect information during your visit to our website through our Automatic Data Collection Tools, which include Web beacons, cookies, embedded Web links, and other commonly used information gathering tools. These tools collect certain standard information that your browser sends to our website such as your browser type and language, access times and the address of the website from which you arrived at our website(s).

The Team Passos website(s) operates social media features, such as the Facebook button and widgets like “Share this button” or interactive mini-programs. These features may collect your IP address or which pages you visit on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our site. • Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Keeping your personal information secure.

Team Passos takes seriously the trust you place in us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information you submit to a Team Passos website. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of the information Team Passos utilizes appropriate physical, technical, and administrative procedures to safeguard the information we collect.

We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive information such as credit card information. SSL encryption is designed to make the information unreadable by anyone but us. This security measure is working when you see the symbol of either an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser) at the top or bottom of your browser window.

As part of real-time payment processing, Team Passos subscribes to a fraud management service. This service gives you and Team Passos an extra level of security to guard against credit card fraud and to protect your financial data.

Legal basis for processing personal data.

Team Passos ensures that personal data is limited to what is adequate, relevant and necessary in relation to the purposes for which it is processed.

All data is processed by Team Passos on one of the following lawful bases – consent, contract, legal obligation, vital interests, public task or legitimate interests. Data Retention.

Team Passos only keeps membership data as long as is reasonable and necessary for the relevant activity or service.

If you leave a comment on the blog articles of the site, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Notification of Changes. 

From time to time we may make changes to our Privacy Policy. If we make changes, we will post them on the Website so users will always understand what information we collect, how we use it, and when we may disclose it. A user is bound by any changes to the policy when she or he uses the Website after those changes have been posted. If, however, we are going to use personally identifiable information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection we will post a notice on our Website for 30 days.

Children’s privacy.  

The Website is directed at an adult market and is intended for use by adults only. Team Passos does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13, nor do we allow children under 13 to participate on the Website without prior verified parental consent.
